Charles “Charlie Cool” Kunken is a writer and creator hailing from Huntington, NY. A father of three, he is the founder of Milk in the Matrix Publishing set to release his debut novel this winter, ‘The Ganymede Job’, a heist thriller set at the intersection of Hollywood and Big Tech. Trained in finance at the NYU Stern School of Business he has spent two decades in tech and corporate finance with a focus on the meeting of art and science.

Although the former baseball and basketball player is no stranger to competition, preparing for the Long Island Fight for Charity echoes the way Charlie has always sought out new challenges. Training mirrors his life’s philosophy: life isn’t about asking why hard things happen, it’s about asking yourself how are you going to move through them. Charlie is fighting to show people that it’s never too late to change your life. This is one writer who isn’t afraid to get a little ink on his hands.

Linking up with the Long Island Community Chest was a natural fit as the organization represents many of Charlie’s core values including the importance of looking out for one another and lifting up our neighbors and friends. In addition to fighting for LICC Charlie will be directing half of his additional proceeds towards the Variety Child Learning Center—an organization that empowers children with learning, language, and behavioral challenges through early intervention and specialized education programs—where his eldest daughter attended pre-school for two years.
