Matthew “The Core Colossus” Pomara is the Regional Vice President of Core BTS located in Hauppauge. The company provides technology solutions to a wide variety of industries.

Matthew said, “Vincent Accardi of Stony Brook University introduced me to Fight for Charity. Boxing is a great metaphor for business and life, I am excited to help a worthy cause and fight for those who might not be able to fight for themselves.

“I was inspired by Shaun Kennedy of Four Seasons who turned professional at 41! My fiancé’ Kelly and I always try and give back to various charities as does my company. I love boxing so this seemed like a natural fit.

“The training is what I am most looking forward to. I will be working with Atlantic Veterans Memorial Boxing Club with Coach Murphy. I met him through my partnership with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing. AVM has trained Cletus Seldin and currently trains Michael Stoute and Terell Bostic, two of my favorite fighters from Star Boxing.”

Matthew serves on the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Pastoral Council and the Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf Fundraising Committee. He was their 2017 Honoree. He is also the Public Address Announcer for Moriches Bay Little League and a Bellport Football Booster. Matthew also serves as Vice President of Beer We Go Steelers!
