Active in the community, Peter is President of the Direct Marketing Association of Long Island and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He is an officer of the Knights of Columbus and a committee member of the March of Dimes Signature Chefs event. He has supported the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Interfaith Nutrition Network and the American Heart Association.
A few years ago, Peter’s daughter had suffered from a medical condition that left her wheelchair bound and Peter’s family struggling to afford experimental treatment. The Knights of Columbus and the Kings Park community organized a paster dinner fund raiser. His daughter was treated and is now walking again.
Peter said, “So many people supported my family when our daughter was ill that I now want to return the favor and raise money by supporting Fight for Charity and the Long Island Community Chest to help others in time of financial stress" Peter embphasized.
