Laurette Holst is the General Manager at UFC Gym in Huntington Station, where physical fitness enthusiasts and athletes learn the training techniques of champion UFC athletes and can join various fitness classes.  The UFC Gym is an extension of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the  world leader in martial arts training.

“I hope to use the techniques I learn at the gym to my advantage when I face my opponent in the ring at the Main Event,” said Laurette.

Laurette has always been interested in boxing. After a year of life-changing  experiences in 2014, she discovered Fight for Charity and decided it was the  greatest way to experience the “sweet science” of boxing, but even more  importantly, to raise money for charities she feels very strongly about. After  her mother passed away from coronary heart disease and her father from  Alzheimer’s disease, Laurette made the decision to give back to various

charities.

"This year there are a group of boxers from the UFC Gym, and we have  worked to encourage one another,” Laurette explained. “I have the support of  my friends and two sons all of whom agree that Fight for Charity is a  rewarding experience for me, but recognize that it is also a challenging one,” she added.
