Tabbethia “Shear Force” Haubold is the founder and owner of Long Island Yarn and Farm, located in Yaphank, NY. Haubold is well known for breeding llamas and fibered livestock. Her 17-acre farm is home to 20 llamas and various other animals, including alpacas, sheep, angora goats, angora rabbits and potbellied pigs. In addition to owning Long Island Yarn and Farm, Haubold is a professional shearer with her own business as she travels from Vermont to Georgia to shear over 1,000 animals, including llamas, alpacas and sheep each year.


Tabbethia also works with a charitable organization “Knit the Rainbow,” which provides homeless LGBTQ youth with handmade knit & crochet winter clothing accessories. Prior to becoming a shearer and farm owner, Haubold received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Delaware Valley University. She is married and resides in Yaphank on her farm.
