Grant “The Bull” Havasy is the managing partner of Blue and Gold Homes & Builder Funding in Huntington. Builder Funding is a private lender to real estate investors. Blue and Gold Homes, is a builder of lifestyle/gated communities, and apartment buildings. He

is the Chairman of the Long Island Builders Institute, and a board member at the Long Island Housing Partnership.

“I first heard about Fight for Charity from Alumni Boxer Sal Ferro and Fight for Charity Co-founder Jeff Cohen. I saw an opportunity to give back to children in need and have something that requires me to train, forcing me to get back into shape. It’s not easy to maintain a workout regimen with a busy work schedule and three kids at home,” said Grant.

Grant has a history of community service. He managed the renovation of a two-family home in Huntington, which is owned by NewGround. NewGround, whose mission is the fight homelessness, will be using the recently renovated home for homeless veterans and their families.

“Aside from all the good that will result from funds raised, being a charity boxer means that I’ve committed to doing something totally outside of my comfort zone. I’m determined to follow through and accomplish my goals,” Grant added.

Grant earned his BBA from Hofstra University. He is married and has three children and lives in Lloyd Harbor.
