Alyssa “The Annihilator” Kirschbaum, a Massapequa resident, is a Speech Language Pathologist with Infinite Services Inc. She encourages children at Success Academy in Rosedale to achieve their speech-language goals individually and in a group setting. She is a member of the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association (ASHA).

Alyssa volunteered for two of the charities that Fight for Charity supports. She helped in respite programs and fundraisers for individuals with autism through Genesis and Eden II programs and volunteered at Family Residences and Essential Enterprises (FREE) day services and respite programs.

She has also worked with individuals with disabilities, ages ranging from approximately sixteen to thirties. At the Association to Benefit Children (ABC) After School Youth Program, she helped elementary and middle school children with homework and interacted with them during extra-curricular activities such as culinary, yoga, soccer, guitar and more.

Alyssa learned about Fight for Charity from her father, Steve Kirschbaum, a member of the Long Island Community Chest board of directors, and her brother who attends The Genesis School.

“Raising money for a cause that I am extremely passionate about while having fun, and fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves, is exciting and rewarding to me,” said Alyssa.

“I’m looking forward to pushing my limits and challenging myself during training to get into the best shape I’ve been in my life. I can’t wait to make a change for the better and meet others along the way with whom I share similar motivations.”

Alyssa earned a BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders from CUNY Queens College, and MS in Speech Language Pathology from Molloy College.
