
Vincent “Stringbean” Accardi is the Director of Corporate Partnerships at Stony Brook University Athletics, where he diligently works as a member of the External Services team to create new relationships with local and regional businesses and generate revenue through these partnerships.
Vincent was inspired to participate in this year’s 12th Main Event by Stony Brook University alumnus Chris Algieri, after seeing him train and box in the ring. “I started working out in January and wanted to learn how to box. My wife has even gotten involved with the training. I hope to raise a lot of money for Fight for Charity and the organizations it supports. I'm striving to break Sal Ferro's recored of over $85,000” Vincent stated.
In addition to his role at Stony Brook, Vincent is an adjunct professor at St. John's University, teaching "Sports Business Sales". He is a volunteer with the Boomer Esiason Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Suffolk county and a sponsor with The Miracle League of Long Island/League of YES, which gives children with disabilities a chance to play baseball.
Vincent resides in Lake Grove with his wife Mary Beth. They have a black Lab/Pit Bull dog, Bella, adopted from the Brookhaven Animal Shelter.
