Katy Cardinale – Fighting for a Cause

Katy Cardinale is an Associate Real Estate Broker and Branch Manager for Douglas Elliman Real Estate, but her impact extends far beyond the world of real estate. At 52, she has devoted much of her life to giving back to the community through various charities and volunteer work. As the founder of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, she has supported STEM education for local students. Now, she’s stepping into the boxing ring for her biggest challenge yet—fighting to raise funds for two incredible charities that serve Long Island families in need.

Katy is training at the American Academy of Boxing in Huntington to participate in Long Island Fight for Charity boxing match, raising funds for:

💙 Long Island Community Chest – This ongoing fund provides immediate, short-term financial assistance to Long Island individuals and families facing unexpected hardships. It supports those who have exhausted traditional means of help, such as a parent unable to work due to an accident or someone struggling with sudden medical expenses. LICC ensures that specific, identifiable people—who have nowhere else to turn—receive the help they need.

📚 The Rachel Quinn Children's Foundation – Founded in memory of Rachel Quinn, an elementary school teacher who believed in the power of education and kindness, this foundation provides underprivileged children with school supplies and educational resources. It also awards students who embody the empathy and generosity that Rachel instilled in her classrooms.

For Katy, this fight is about more than just stepping into the ring—it’s about stepping up for others.

"Training for this event is giving me something to focus on that’s greater than myself. Each time I get tired or don’t want to keep working, I remind myself that I’m fighting for those who can’t fight for themselves. I am learning how to fight so others don’t have to—so a family can get the help they need, so a child can have the supplies to succeed in school, so people facing hardship know they are not alone. While I may be the one stepping into the ring, the real victory comes from knowing we’re making a difference together. Giving back always feels good, but this time, it feels more powerful than ever."
