Fight for Charity by Ed Camp
Our hearts are on display for all to see.
Hearts on fire they all agree.
Not afraid to be knocked down,
eagerly facing one more round
Thinking of those in need,
driving us harder to succeed
Learning the sweet science,
to express our benevolence
Remember that which makes us stronger,
could a minute round be any longer?
They boo and cheer not understanding the risks.
All is on the line facing our opponent's fists.
Hopes and dreams drive us to punch and swing,
understanding life waiting for our bell to ring.

All,

As I am sure you can imagine, in my line of work it is easy to get a bit disenfranchised from time to time. Before you know it, it can be easy to start believing that the number of people out there that don't care about anything will always overwhelm those people that do care.

What all of us did Monday night helped remind me that those of us that do care might be in the minority, but our effort and our resolve will always overwhelm those that don't care, no matter their numbers.

And while we are on the subject of caring, I think we should all reflect on what we just did. Anyone can write a check, but not anyone will dedicate months of training, fundraising, and the possibility of getting punched in the head in front of their friends....we all have something to be very proud of.

Lastly, let's just talk about what a bad-ass Robert Warlow is. The guy pops out his shoulder and doesn't even flinch. In fact, he goes to the corner smiling! He stands in the ring and poses for a picture still smiling. Never shows any indication of pain. Bad....Ass.

Well said Ed!
Everyone was amazing last night, a lot of my returning family, friends and clients that were last year said that the fights this year were a lot more exciting. They said you guys REALLY looked like you had been boxing for a while. Nice job! Hope to get together with everyone for a little reunion.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Hey Jeff,

I just want to thank you for the opportunity to participate in this great event; even though it was so late in the training. I enjoyed myself better this year and I hope that your financial goal exceeded your expectations.

Can you please send me the video of my fight and any press releases so I can put in my scrap book? Thanks.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving with your family! You are the best!

Love ya!

Dear Jeff and Nancy,

Once again folks I am in awe of the amount of effort you both and the entire "TEAM" puts into the greatest event on Long Island.
Is it me or is it getting better every year! Wow what great feedback I am getting today already.

I am proud to call you both a friend and that friendship means the world to me! You both are truly remarkable people with a genuine concern for the good of all, and that shows in your body of work.
I wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving and to you hopefully a well deserved restful week!

All my Love,
Chris

Thanks Ed and Everyone!

It is easy to get inspired when your surrounded by great people. Heart is something none of the heroic participants of Monday's event lack at any level.

I am humble to have even played a small role in the overall event. We are all fighters, but the best kind of warriors. We fought not for ourselves or the glory, but rather to stand for those that can't hope to stand for themselves.

My shoulder will heal for certain, but Monday and the months leading up to it, left a mark on my soul, which I'll carry proudly for the rest of my days. I feel a little bit more complete, more human, just having been there as a minor player in support of you all!

Warmest regards and gratitude for the first Thanksgiving Day that will truly resonate as one of which to be eternally grateful!

For anyone that knows me …knows I am NEVER speechless. This was the most incredible experience and I’m at a loss for words to describe it . The past 12 years I have been dedicated to serving people with disabilities. To see so many of you in the “business world” support a cause so close to my heart ..I thank you . Its is people like you that make for a better community. I am thankful to have gotten to know you and second Bryn’s idea of a us getting together to celebrate our achievements. This was truly life changing for me and for that I am forever blessed.

Michael I thank you for support and encouragement. I can’t believe I will say it but the “beat” downs as well. LMAO!!!! You are an amazing coach and look forward to continuing to train with you .

The poem needs to be framed.

Last my head gear is missing Does anyone have it????????????

I think it is safe to say we all will have a little something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!! Enjoy it and be safe

AND CHECK OUT NEWSDAY!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE IN IT !!!!!!

I hope I got everybody. If not please forward and pass on. Thanks in advance.

You guys are awesome! What an exciting night! And that is a tremendous understatement! A true class of warriors!

For those of you that were hurt in any way, I am sincerely praying for a speedy recovery.

I'm honored to be affiliated with you all and this event and I can't say that enough! Have a great holiday and no laughing at my poem!

God Bless You All!

The poem is terrific . . . the experience was unforgettable. Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of the journey, it was really worth it.

Congratulations to all involved including the charities. Job well done by all.

If I ever do it again . . . could I go 1st next time? The anxiety of
going 11th was way too much. Count me in for any reunions.

Happy Thanksgiving.

With Gratitude,
